TAROM, Romanian national carrier, and ArrivalGuides, the world’s leader in supplying destination content to the travel industry, have partnered to implemented destination guides into Tarom’s in-flight entertainment systems, powered by PXCom.
Tarom has equipped eight aircraft with AirFi boxes, a w-IFE entertainment platform. Domestic and international travelers will be able to connect their own devices during their flights to an onboard server. The service, providing them with legacy in-flight entertaining contents including movies, music, games, and digital press, is now enriched with PXCom’s interactive destination guides in English and Romanian language.
Federico Giusiano, Head of Sales at ArrivalGuides, said, “Airlines have understood the value of engaging travelers while they are sitting on the plane, not only with movies or music, but destination content/in-destination offerings. This is one of the reasons why we have seen a considerable growth in the past 2 years of clients using our content on their IFE systems. The market is huge and we still have a big gap to fill”.
TAROM’s mission to inspire people to fly away and its commitment to deliver a superior online experience to their customers will be fulfilled with destinations guides that are now easily accessible to passengers, enabling them to plan the complete travel itinerary during their flights.
