ArrivalGuides and Travelling Connect team up to offer mobile operators new tools

ArrivalGuides - Travelling Connect

Travelling Connect and ArrivalGuides announced today that they will work together in providing travel content to roamers and the mobile industry.

With this partnership, ArrivalGuides destination content will be showcased to Travelling Connect members and through Travelling Connect B2B travel content platform for mobile operators around the world. ArrivalGuides destination network is comprising of over 550 destinations worldwide, highlighting the best of each destination and supplied directly from the Official Tourist Boards.

Travelling Connect has launched in 2015 a B2B travel content platform for mobile operators and MVNOs who want to offer a variety of additional services to their roaming subscribers who are travelling abroad. Next to the ArrivalGuides content, customers can also book all kinds of tours, entertainment and other local activities on the spot, from a bicycle tour of New York City to surfing lessons in South Africa.

Marcel Wientjen, CEO of Travelling Connect, commented on this new service: “Mobile operators need to follow the model of other travel industries, like the airline industry, and engage their customers with content and generate at the same time more ancillary revenues. Providing travel content to roaming customers helps to build the customer relationship, giving customers another reason to depend on a particular telecom provider.  As mobile operators are serving the same customers as the airline industry, there’s no reason why they couldn’t do the same. This is why Travelling Connect has worked closely with ArrivalGuides to provide Travelling Connect members and mobile operators with this extensive content platform.”

Magnus Aideborn, CEO of ArrivalGuides said, “With declining roaming revenue, mobile operators are looking for new ways to engage customers and ArrivalGuides content surely is one of them. In collaboration with Travelling Connect, we will give mobile users full access to our library of destinations to inspire them during their trip.”
